The 2017 Elmira U15 Bonspiel will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017. This year the bonspiel will feature a single draw of two games. Between the games, both the players and coaches will be served lunch followed by a 2-hour clinic with top-ranked, certified coaches covering topics such as brushing and setup. Games will be scored using a typical “points” system for a one-day bonspiel, and coaches will be permitted within the arena during games. There will be no prizes at this event but the winning rink will have their names engraved on the Elmira Junior Bonspiel trophy.
Teams must be accompanied by a coach, as the clinic is as much for the coaches as it is for the players. Coaches should come prepared to spend the day in the arena, should be dressed in appropriate curling attire and must be wearing curling shoes. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
Entry fee for rinks is $140. Rinks must satisfy the OCA rules for U15 eligibility and may consist of any combination of boys and girls. Team registration is online ONLY on the Elmira and District Curling Club website.
