Congratulations to the Laurier Golden Hawks women’s varsity curling team<\/a> from Wilfrid Laurier University<\/a> for winning the Canadian University Championships this past weekend, held in St. John’s, Newfoundland. <\/p>\n

The winning rink of skip Laura Crocker, third Sarah Wilkes, second Jen Gates, lead Cheryl Kreviazuk, fifth Pam Feldkamp, and coach Maurice Wilson outlasted the Brock Badgers and skip Courtney Hodgson 7-4 in the final.<\/p>\n

Laura, Jen, Cheryl, and Pam were at Elmira<\/a> this past November and I hope to be able to invite the new Canadian champions back to Elmira some time in the fall.<\/p>\n
