December 4th brought the 2011 Women’s CIS Champions from Wilfrid Laurier University out to Elmira to run clinics for both the Little Rock and bantam sections.
Skip Laura Crocker, third Sarah Wilkes, and front-end Jen Gates and Pam Feldkamp of the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks ran through various fundamental drills with the Elmira Little Rockers, and followed that 90-minute clinic with another 90-minute session with the Elmira bantams, with Laura performing video analysis on each bantam’s delivery, Pam working on shot selection with the “pickup-sticks” drill, Sarah working with the bantams on take-outs with the “Crazy Eights” drill and Jen working on line of delivery using streamers.
Many thanks to these gifted student athletes, and we wish them the best of luck as the Crocker foursome competes in the Karuizawa International Tournament in Nagano, Japan later in January.
